The Family The Home and The Community

Preparing the Next Generation to Succeed

One of the greatest responsibilities is parenting, because  parents are nurturing and preparing the future  generations of adults.  They are the greatest teachers and role models. What we teach  our children from a young age, and the examples they see, will be a part of their lives as they grow and become adults.

‘The Family The Home and The Community’ is a guide to help parents balance the responsibilities of managing a home and raising their children.

If you are a single parent or a two parents household, child-rearing responsibilities are the same. The loving memories you create will be a part of their lives forever.

Some of the topics ‘The Family The Home and The Community’ covered: child-rearing, single parenting and  how to balance both parents responsibilities, how to heal from the pain of a broken marriage/relationship, how to avoid child abuse, how to know your child’s silent pleas for help, and common things parents must do to help their kids succeed in school, prepare for college, graduate and succeed in their adulthood.

My Parenting Journey

When my marriage ended, I became a single parent. My son Eddie was 15 months old and I was two months pregnant with my daughter Amanda. It was not easy managing the household responsibilities alone and raising the kids. To stay focus, I would often tell myself, ‘Stay on the mountain top and look far into their future and guide them through the five stages of childhood so they can be successful in their adulthood. Help them stay focus, and protect them from yielding to temptations and peer pressures that could ruin their lives at a young age.’

Looking at their accomplishments below, the journey was worth it.
